The wash day manual

The whole promise of a reusable pad lives or dies on wash day, so here is the routine that keeps ours working for years.

Shake or rinse off solids first — the machine handles liquid history, not archaeology. Then wash cold or warm on a normal cycle. Skip fabric softener: it coats the absorbent fibers and quietly retires them. Skip bleach too; the TPU membrane outlasts everything except harsh chemistry.

Dry low or hang dry — the laundry line is the spiritual home of this whole catalog. High heat is the one enemy the leakproof layer respects, so keep the dryer gentle and the pad will keep its seal through hundreds of cycles.

The rotation trick makes it all effortless: two pads per station, one down, one in the wash. The floor is never unguarded, wash day is never urgent, and the whole system runs itself like good laundry always has.
